West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui was left disappointed after his side lost 1-3 to Leicester despite having plenty of chances to score.

“What I feel today is disappointment because we lost, frustration because we deserved more.” Lopetegui said after the game.

“We had 31 shots, which is incredible. But that’s football and football is never easy. And the first time they (Leicester) scored was a goal.”

“We did very well in the first half, we had a lot of chances but it was a day. When the ball didn’t want to go in the back of the net. It was difficult for the players, they deserved more, the fans as well. It was a difficult day for us.”

Who replaced David Moyes back in the summer does little to support Lopetegui’s hopes of a turnaround. Once again, his passionate pleas post-match fail to chime with the evidence on the pitch.
