Ruud to praise the spirit and determination that helped Leicester City win.

Leicester City manager Ruud van Nistelrooy has hailed the fighting spirit and finishing that helped his team beat West Ham.

Van Nistelrooy’s first start in charge of Leicester was a fine one. With a 3-1 win over West Ham in a game in which the Hammers had 31 shots. But scored the only goal in stoppage time through Niklas Füllkrug.

Meanwhile, Leicester City had just eight shots. But three goals from Jamie Vardy, Bilal El Cannous and Patson Daka earned them three important points. And moved four points clear of the relegation zone UFABET

The Foxes’ new manager said after the game: “We know how difficult the Premier League is and we saw it today against West Ham. We have to give everything for the three points.”

“At the end of the day you look at the results and the three points, look at where we are, which is important.”

“The result is important but I saw the game and West Ham controlled the game. I think the fighting spirit helped us survive and we were efficient in scoring goals.”

“It was a great night and we knew the performance had to be better and that’s what we had to do.”
